Diabetes is a 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, never takes a weekend, holiday or vacation kind of disease – especially for children with type one diabetes and their families.

Diabetes camps help children by exposing them to others also living with the disease, educating and empowering them to maintain good diabetes management and providing a typical childhood experience, summer camp, which they may otherwise never experience.

Your gift will help the Iron Andy Foundation send more children with diabetes to camp and afford them the life-changing experience of diabetes summer camp.

Common Questions Regarding Donations:
How much should I donate?
$25, $50, $100 or $1,000, whatever you can afford.  All donations made to IAF will help someone who is struggling with diabetes everyday and it is IAF’s mission to put that money to good use!
How much does it cost for a child to attend a diabetes camp?

That depends on the individual camp and duration of the camp.  We estimate that the average Diabetes Education and Camping Association (DECA) approved program costs around $1,000 per child, per week.

Where does my money go?

Upon Board Review of eligible Iron Andy Challenge applicants, your donations will go directly to support diabetes Camp “Camperships.”

Can I select to whom my donation is credited?

The IAF Board will review all IA Challenge applicants and determine campership eligibility based on applicants ability to meet the specific criteria.
